Discipling the new humans: A day with Mark Sayers
Saturday 25 September, 9am - 3pm
Carey Baptist College, Auckland. Cost: $35 waged or $25 unwaged.
Cost includes morning and afternoon tea (but not lunch)
Ministry leaders today are facing a tremendous issue: It’s an issue:
Deeper than post-modernism,
Deeper than just generations,
Deeper than the media,
Deeper than how we do church.
It’s about discipling a new human 500 years in the making. The future of the church in the West is dependent on how we communicate the gospel to the new human born of secularism; a secularism that most of us live in but barely understand. This day will help you understand the secular culture which has given birth to the new humans. It will also provide you with key principles that will enable you to effectively disciple young adults in an arid spiritual wasteland.
Discipling the New Humans is for pastors, youth pastors, teachers, parents, young adults, or anyone wanting to wrestle with how we live faithfully in contemporary culture. For more information, or if you have any questions, email admin@compass.org.nz
