Rob Bell, Universalism and some clarity

I am still waiting for my copy of Love Wins to come in the post, so I’m not yet ready to offer my own thoughts. The amount of debate this book has generated has been staggering, and that was even before anyone had read it. Most of this debate, because uninformed, has been unhelpful. It has struck me that many of Rob Bell’s critics have been waiting for Bell to speak in the language they understand and are comfortable with, rather than attend to the actual words he is speaking and wonder why he is choosing to communicate the way he does. I have found this response deeply discouraging. It seems like Rob Bell is sick of the misunderstanding himself, and in the clip below we hear him clarifying his views for his many critics. His last comment is a justified jab I think.
